Taxpayers will be glad to know we are taking good care of the new grass. Found some extra tax dollars for an irrigation system. About $$ 100,000 extra. That purchased a 15,000 gallon cistern...that's a hole in the ground, usually dry when you really need water, a heated pump house, the irrigation system, and the " Oh by the way " piping to the concession stand, and water to the ice rink, and another heated enclosure the rink water system.Seems like the Fire Dept is out of a job, they used to flood the rink for free. Add in the plumber, and electrician..blow $ 100,000. Any one remember voting for this?? Prime example showing you can not trust our recreation minded BOS. With the Taylor property.
Rec is already beating the drum for the same update to the Playground Drive softball field. Another $ 300,000 or so, plus $ 85,000 for lights, the next year. This one is already shoved down out throat, as years ago we took a grant to put the playground in, and by law we must maintain it. Give rec an inch, it takes a mile $$$. K V Parteners job security. Assume the position again..Interlakes wants a Lacrosse team, and propose a joint effort with the M A. Students who want to play. They said Moultonboro would build the field. Thank you, lakefront wealth.
No complaints from Donna because the fields are being rehabbed. Must be plenty of fields for the kids to play on.
It's amazing what you can do for. $ 450,000. Part of the bid included replacing the road, as they knew it would be torn up by trucks. Hope they put a zipper in the road, so they can roll it up, and get it out of the way, for when they do the softball field, with the lights. ( $ 85,000 ) for night gamesWe are not going to get much change back from a million dollar bill, when this is finished. The funny thing..this all got priced out during the time they were trying to sell us a sports complex at the Lions Club. Town hall logic was to make the playground so expensive, we would buy into the Lions club fields. Remember how much cheaper they told us that would be? Guess we showed them, told em to stuff the Lions field, and do the playground....for that horribly inflated price. K V was an a aider and abbetor. They could generate any price the T A wanted.
Add KV Partners to the list of those to go, we can do better!
