Come and Celebrate Moultonborough's Lakes and Ponds June 9th
Your Moultonborough Milfoil and Conservation Committees are pleased to present a program highlighting Our Lakes, Ponds and Streams to be held at the Moultonborough Town Hall from 9 – 11 am on Saturday June 9th.
Come learn from the partners and experts the challenges these resources are facing and how we, as a community, are caring for them in Moultonborough.
Topics will include the following:
· “Protecting Our Watershed” Presented by Pat Tarpey, Executive Director, Lake Winnipesaukee Association
· “Invasive Species: Present and Future” presented by Amy Smagula, NH DES Limnologist, Aquatic Invasive Species Program and Karin Nelson, Chair, Moultonborough Milfoil Committee
· “ Lake Hosts Making a Difference” presented by New Hampshire Lakes Association
· “Watershed Warriors Festival” presented by NH Lakes. A hands-on exhibit in parking lot (KIDS FRIENDLY)
Materials and displays of the tools used to protect our Lakes, Ponds and Streams will be on display. Get an up-close look at an actual DASH (Diver Assist Suction Harvesting Boat! Learn how water testing equipment is used! See actual invasive weeds and cyanobacteria samples! Examine and take home the support materials used to inform and educate our residents and visitors!
