Moultonborough 9/11 Ceremony will start at 9:00 and end about 9:15

Gary Torressen requested permission from the BoS last Thursday ( granted)  to honor the anniversary of 9/11 this coming Thursday with a brief ceremony outside Town Hall. The plan is as follows: 
  • 1st Bell rung @ 9:00 am Remembering American Airlines Flight 11 struck WTC  North Tower at    8:46 AM   moment of silence
  • 2nd bell rung Remembering United flight 175 that struck WTC South Tower at 9:03 am  moment of silence
  • 3rd bell rung. Remembering American Airlines Flight 77 and those who died at the Pentagon at 9:37 AM   moment of silence
  • 4th bell rung. Remembering those who gave all and lost their lives when WTC South Collapsed at 9:58 AM  moment of silence
  • 5th Bell rung remembering those who lost their lives on United flight 93 in Shanksville PA at 10:03  moment of silence
  • 6th Bell rung Remembering those who lost their lives in WTC North when it collapsed at 10:28  moment of silence
  • 7th Bell Remembering Civilian heroes and First responders who gave all on 9/11  We will always remember their sacrifice. moment of silence
  • 8th Bell For Freedom, Liberty and Peace to this and all future generations. 
  • 'PROCLAIM LIBERTY THROUGHOUT ALL THE LAND UNTO ALL THE INHABITANTS THEREOF” Liberty Bell inscription. moment of silence

Thank you Gary for once again putting this together for people to come and gather and remember those that gave their lives that fateful day. Too bad nothing was put our town website to alert people to this event.
