About 3/4 of the way thru the BOS meeting the T A bought up a request to extend the Town Engineers contract. K V Partners are willing to extend, and at the same hourly rate. This was tabled for further consideration. Final vote may be Dec 18

Hiring another town engineer might be a good move for the town. Nothing wrong with mixing it up from time to time and bring in some fresh thinking.

The current town engineered seems to be a town hall tool, His participation in the 4 session " Build a Sidewalk " presentation showed the did not know, or would not share data engineers need to know to locate a sidewalk. Issues like " how many will use it ? And Where are they going? Is this Justified ? Totally ignored..
Selling us the pre-determined Rt 25 path squashed a plan for a nice walking path off Rt 25. The audience was slowly developing this. Maybe it will be revived in Village Vision plans.

During the discussion on extending the town engineers contract, Selectman Wakefield stated that the grandiose and garish designs proposed for projects may not have come from the town engineer. He would not say who has the plastic taste. Good to see a BOS member knows bad taste.
Regardless, has our town engineer proposed any designs that are practical and in good taste? He has just backed what came out of the closet......time to examine this issue.
