SkateFest 2015 Family Skate Day February 21st 1pm-5pm

Three hours of FREE family fun including complimentary food, hot beverages and a bonfire.

Center Harbor: The Town of Center Harbor and the Center Harbor Community Development Association (Center Harbor CDA) are sponsoring a family skating event and demonstration Saturday February 21st (rain/snow date February 22nd) at the Town Skating Rink and Public Beach area on Route 25 in Center Harbor. A bonfire and public skating will begin at 1:00 PM, the skating demonstration will begin at 3:00 PM and finish at 4:00 PM. Family skating is open until dusk. Everyone is welcome!
The demonstration will feature skaters from the Magic Blades Skating Club and the Plymouth State Skating Academy along with recorded music and costumes. Local restaurants, businesses and churches are providing complimentary hot chili, hot dogs, chowder, coffee, hot chocolate and do-it-yourself smores as part of the event. The demonstration and all food and beverages are all free to the public. Free commemorative buttons will be available as well.
The Town Fire Department is hosting the bonfire during the event and a warming station will be available in the Town Pavilion. Local volunteers have cleared a skating area on the lake for public use, so all guests are encouraged to bring their own skates for an afternoon of skating fun. (Note that all skating on the lake and Town rink is at your own risk).
Free parking is available by the Town Basketball court, in designated spaces in and around Main Street, at Senter’s Market and at the Center Harbor Congregational Church Parking lot. Police will be on duty to facilitate safe crossing of Route 25.
Please join us for a fun afternoon of skating and sampling local restaurants fare. For more information visit the Town website (Parks & Recreation) at http://www.centerharbornh.org/parks.html or visit us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/chskatefest .

Looks like a great event ... chili dogs ... the wife and I will be there!

I ran across a video of one our BoS, during his skating days ... ice skating ... not "skating" (skirting) issues.

Can you tell which one it is?

Isn't it great to see a public anouncement posted on the web site. It will never happen in Moultonboro...the blogsite has been critical of some of the T A's actions, and he will forbid town participation till the day he leaves.
