Sandwich Children’s Center’s 2nd Annual Summer Fete

It’s July, so the countdown is on for Sandwich Children’s Center’s 2nd Annual Summer Fete! July 31 is our 2015 date, the Friday before the start of Sandwich’s Old Home Week.

Last year, around 180 friends joined us for a delicious BBQ dinner, a silent auction, and a live auction featuring auctioneer Rupert Fennell, a career veteran of Sotheby’s.

This year, Rupert will be back, and we’ve got lots of intriguing new auction offerings, plus some of the hottest auction items and experiences from last year. We’ve also got another delicious, though quite different, meal prepared on site for you!

Following hors d’oeuvres, there will be lobster and shrimp salad served over greens, plus coleslaw from Captain Bart’s Seafood Market, grilled pork loin and baked beans from award-winning BBQ pit master Lance Fuher, Bob Carmany’s baguettes, and roasted corn on the cob from Moulton Farm.

For dessert, there’ll be mixed berries and biscuits from Moulton Farm and ice cream from the Sandwich Creamery.

It being summer time, slaking thirst will be paramount, and we’ll have free water and lemonade, plus a wine and beer cash bar.

All this, plus the fun of watching a veteran auctioneer work a crowd of friends and townspeople and the chance to win wonderful objects, services and experiences, about which more soon. Can’t wait? Take a sneak peek at selected items on SCC’s website at www.sandwichchildrenscenter.org or on SCC’s Facebook page.
