I think, as a NH native, it speaks to our grit. If you think that's scary I would ask if you would rather live in a state like VA that still has the first words from Lincoln's assassin's mouth "Sic Semper Tyrannis" as theirs. Please don't start some lilly livered movement to give us a more PC motto like "Hope and Change"(THAT would be scary). Aren't there more important issues in the world?

Grumpy, I hope you realize that this is a comic strip and not my own commentary. The writer is a former lawyer from California Stephen Pastis. I just thought is was funny. Still do.

My brother-in-law, who comes up here a couple of times a year, sent Judy and me, a text from Exton, PA where he lives, of the cartoon. He didn't get it from the blog, but from local source.

It, subsequently, showed up on the blog. I sent him the link for the blog, and he asked, via email, if I had submitted anonymously to the blog!

I said "not anonymously, but synonymously" (sic)!

I didn't tell him I couldn't take credit for it ... didn't want to spoil my image.

Blogger has all the credit!

Sic Semper Tyrannis was first said by Brutus upon Caesar's assassination on the ides of March in 44BC.
