Sad Letter From a Former Friend

How sad Rick Heath that you have once again decided that hate and name calling wins out over civil debate. Your letter in the Laconia Daily Sun is contemptible, but emblematic of the reason of why I am running for the NH House. This extremist, hateful and angry, so very angry rhetoric is hurting the citizens of our district. We can't get anything done in Concord and even less in Ossipee because people like you think that extremism is more important than being a good representative for the people in your district.
Your letter has zero facts that support your statements. It is nothing more than  misdirected anger.
Shame on you Rick Heath. I used to think you were a stand up guy. Obviously I was very wrong.
Sad my old friend, very sad.

Good job Paul. It is so disappointing to see the same old same old malcontents that have only one weapon, spilling hate and vitriol. They were and continue to be the dark forces in town who hate everyone or anything that doesn't fit their views. We need you in Concord. Thank you for running.

I do have to wonder whether responding to every slight is beneficial to starting any sort discussion that might ultimately result in cooperation between polarized parties is necessary?

Just ignore him and his kind Paul. Most of us do, as we've seen his personal mudslinging before and understand that he and his "Moultonboro" (yes that's how they spell it) Citizens Alliance comrades are not considered the "fair-minded" folks he claims to be.

It's too bad that so many friendships appear to have ended, during this election cycle, merely due to political beliefs.

How in the world can we possibly accomplish anything, if we can't be civil and find common ground?!

Thank you to a recent anonymous for a comment of support, and while I agree with your assessment, I will withhold publishing it so as to not get down to the same level my former friend did. As the saying goes, you lay down with dogs, you get fleas. Thanks again for the support and tell everyone you know to vote on November 8th.
